Anderson died Tuesday. Born in Florence County, he was the son of the late William Edward Anderson and Rebecca Anderson Kiryen. He served in til the U.S. Army during World War II and he was an electrician. He was a member of the Peniel Baptist Church.

Surviving: his wife, Annie Lou Lynch Anderson; daughters, Shelby A. Lewis, and Tina M. Anderson, both of Timmonsville; a brother, John W. B'Rells died Tuesday, May 28, 1996. She was the widow of Gerald B'Rells Sr. Born in South Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Caroline Lowell Huntress. Formely of Orono, Maine, she had been a resident here since 1965.

She was a 1926 graduate of the University of Maine and taught school in Portland. Maine for a number of years. Surviving are her sons, Dr. Gerald Keith B'Rells of Lexington and Wayne F. Louis Edwards RICHLAND, MICH. Louis Ward Edwards died May 5, 1996 after ani illness. Services were held in Michigan, directed by Farley-Estes and Dowdle Funeral Home in Battle Creek. Born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C., he was a son of the late Walter co*ker and Sarah Ward Edwards. He moved to Darlington at the age of five.

He attended the University of South Carolina and organized the USC Gameco*ck dance orchestra which played for dances in the southern states and also for two summers in Deauville, France and Rotterdam, Holland. He graduated with a BA in 1928 and continued his studies at the University of Michigan. He worked in Michigan as a CPA, professional photographer and registered genealogist. Surviving are his wife, Betty S. Kipp Edwards of the home; two sons; four daughters; a sister, Marjorie grandchildren; two grandchildren.

Commissioned as a Cavalry officer, General Foster served in combat in Europe during World War I1 and again in combat with the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea. Peacetime assignments included duty in Texas, Washington, D.C. and other posts. Reassigned to Europe in the 1950's, he served in the 3rd Armored Division ander General Abrams and became Chief of Staff of the Division.
