Do Fractals (T4s+Recs) daily, as well as the 3 CMs if you have the time, for 30+ Gold per day, that is my recommendation. 🙂

Thanks!

Wow, you really do have a personal troll. Helpful recommendation, and 2 confused emojis! 🤣

I might dig up my AR gear, i'm full of WvW infusions in every EQ slot lol. I do have legendary pieces, so swapping shouldn't be too difficult. And i think i need to do fractals anyway for the Mist bands so... Good idea!

Never did CMs though.

Depends on your time horizon, effort per day and no of available acounts (as you can do most profitable things only once a day or week per account).

And on your available capital (e.g. build a gen3 leggy and sell it and make 600-800g, but you need around 1500 capital (and plenty of untradabke resources like karma & spirit shards) to do so)

Thanks for the links!

I won't be doing legendaries cause i barely have enough clovers for Confluxes (which is the end goal for this gold farm).

So wasting them on legendaries to sell won't be good.

I'll check the links though. 👍

Fastest way to farm gold is to buy gems and exchange them to gold. This is including the time you spend working at a minimum wage real-life job.

If you want to farm in-game I recommend doing 3 easy dailies every single day for 2g/day = 712 gold/year.

Since I play Fractal T4 dailies and recommended every day my gold is growing rapidly. This takes some more effort than the 2g dailies but is certainly recommended.

sPvP ranked is also a fairly ok money maker and if PvP is not your thing, daily Teqatl is an easy 2 gold per day.

Yeah, i know, gems to gold, but i kind of grew up in a place where such things seem like a waste of money.

I know, time=money, but i'm not monetising my free time that i choose to spend playing, so that doesn't apply to me.

I think i will do fractals though, i need mist bands anyway, so might as well.

PvP is interesting, as i never really played it and i think there's a bunch of non repeatable reward tracks that i can use to get Clovers out of, so i might do that as well sometimes. But i'm not really good at all that, i can do WvW but PvP is very different to what i'm used to.

Since you specifically asked about metas...Teq, Dragonstorm, Triple Trouble all give 2 gold. Silverwastes is still a viable run especially if you join a group who is farming it. Dragonfall and Drizzlewood are often the most popular and both very profitable if you sell everything. Battle in Tarir in Auric Basin is also quite nice. Don't discount the EoD metas, as they do give a reward of your choice, i.e. amalgamated gemstone, ambergris, that can be sold of course.

Thanks! I haven't done drizzlewood in a while, i might park an alt there to do that with consistently. 🙂

I do remember being it a nice farm for materials.

* Doing daylies (a couple of raw gold coins usually in less than 10 minutes).

* Farming high value mining ores and crops (orichalcum, quartz, seaweed, falx...) For optimal results requires specialized unbreakeable tools (with sigils as reaper, volatile, industry...) + shared inventory skills and plenty of characters. This all costs gold, but they end paying for themselves.

* High level daily fractals.

* Ranked PvP (at least 6+ gold coins x hour with a 50% win/lose ratio).

* Farming map events: Palawadan, Drizzlewood South, Dragonfall, Dragon's End, Octovine, Chak Gerent, Drakkar, Aetherblade Asault... Not all are the same: most require keys which need to be farmed previously, whereas other can be obtained at the same time, whereas others as Palwadan requiere no keys at all...

* Alt parking in chest and minu¡ing ores (some are limited to 1x day x character, others limited to 1x day x account).

* Farming volatile magic to buy trophies/leather.

* High level fishing.

Edit: examples from a day in which I have no time to play (I have 18 characters):

1- Mining ore with the whole roster, ~5 gold coins of material in under 8 minutes.

2-Doing 3 dailies (2 gold coins in ~10 minutes).

Then if I have time:

3- Palawadan> some farming> Chak Gerent> some farming

4-Then Dragonstorm followed by Drakkar OR Octovine OR Dragon's End

5-If I did Dragonstorm + Drakkar then I would follow with Aetherbalde OR Dragon Stand (Dragon's End map meta last ~40 minutes so some events are not compatible in teh same time frame).

6- Some ranked PvP.

My priorities are: things that give very good value even if they need grind or things that maybe deliver lower gold but are fun. Things that I can solo over things that require others to bring up the rewards; things that doesn't require keys or extra time ver the ones that demand it.

Extra tip: when I farm materials with alts I move all the stuff to the slots in the bank and sell everything in a single time; when I farm a map event my character of choice has at least 90 empty slots in the inventory, and after the event sells everything except if I'm crafting a legendary.

Already doing dailies. 🙂 WvW ones to be specific.

I have volatile tools, but don't have enough gold or time to invest into others and wait to pay for themselves. I did get 150 gold worth of Volatile magic trophy shipments today, that was nice. So farming ores in general for VM yes, but other than that, i'll pass. Thanks for the suggestion though. 🙂

3rd recommendation for fractals - i thought they nerfed them... But i guess they're still profitable. And like i said, i might as well since i nied Mist bands.

Palawadan is still profitable? Nice to know!

Did Chak Gerent today and it failed lol.

Hmm, and might do a fishing character for ambergis.

Thanks for the reply!

Most meta event (which take time from start (reset) until map is have finished (where main map boss have been killed - on some map bonus bosses after main map boss is finished) will give you mats (some mats/weapon/gear can be sold for Gold) and Gold.

Dragonstorm (public which is on a timer; use wiki or BlishHUD [addon]- Event table to keep track when event will happen) is rather easy if there is enough players (tried doing it solo and it takes an eternity to kill things; not recommended). Here is wiki about Dragonstorm: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dragonstorm

Once every 24 hour (daily reset) you can do this to get 2 Gold, Karma (which can be used for items that you can turn into Gold) and some other items that are useful or can be sold. Buy that portal Scroll that make it possible to teleport directly to EoTN to save time to get there.

With more account (only bought account can do this) you can collect some Gold which you can transfer to your main account. So having more then one account can be helpful to gather up Gold, if you don't have time to play very much coordinated group content like in RAID/trails or whatever they are called.

I can't use BlishHUD, i'm on Linux, doesn't work here (or has some roundabout way i'm too lazy to do for now).

But i don't need it, i have 2 monitors, i can pull up Event Timers on one. 🙂

I have the EoTN scroll. And some characters are parked there for Strikes, i can do Dragonstorm with them too.

I only have 1 account and don't plan on getting more, so 1 will have to do.

Don't forget that in WvW you get Memory of Battle which adds up over time and can be sold for around 20 silver or more each.

I need money to BUY Memory of Battle lol, not sell it. 😄 I'm doing Confluxes, remember? I need like 5000 Memory of battle for 2 of them lol.

It is both a crafting material and a currency, so you will find it in your material storage and it can be useful to increase MS with expander bought in GS when it is on sale (it increases all MS items with 250 more items that can be stored directly from your characters Inventory when you use "Deposit All Materials" on right corner of that window in GUI for Inventory) .

As MoB is both a crafting material and currency you will not have a problem to sell those for some profit as long you don't plan to use it yourself for WvW Legendary item crafting (which is more purchase items at NPC vendor then to craft them as you would do for PvE Legendary). In short there is always a demand for this item and you shouldn't have a problem to get some Gold out of it as long you play WvW on regular basis (and finish off your daily WvW archievement which is more or less PvE based tasks like take a campwith NPCs, kill and cap land or just stand at a Ruin to get it capped (change colour from enemy to your own).

I'll have to check gw2efficiency what i can sell from the storage. I do have 750 of the stuff i can deposit. But i need like 1000 T5 mats per gift or something, idk, a lot... I have most of it though.

But as i said, i need MoB, i'm doing legendary crafting. Otherwise i wouldn't need gold, there's not much to spend it on once you have some legendary gear, and i have most of the skins i want.

I do play WvW mostly, but all that's going to the Conflux fund. 😄

Lots of direction and good suggestions in this thread.

A couple of key points to highlight is that farming for gold is about acquiring anything that can be sold as quickly as possible, to maximize that rate of return. The 'fast-farm community' links provided earlier in this thread serve as a fantastic resource because they highlight the duration of the events along with "gold per hour" return that result. For example, boss events like Teq and Triple Trouble, while they provide actual coin in reward, are not of great value to include in farming runs as they are time-consuming, and drive down the rate of return. By extension, World Boss trains are also not great, as you add in additional downtime for wait and pre-events. At this point in the game there are several different activities that should net you 20g per hour (which would be my threshold as a minimally decent if not spectacularrate)... investing 20-30 minutesin Triple Trouble, for example, would make it difficult to achieve that rate. Starting your play session by checking the Daily and evaluating whether you can do it in less than 6 min (which is pretty often, depending on the tasks available and what you have access to), fits the desired rate of return and is a nice start.

The other point is, while obvious, pick activities that are fun for you; be it a variety of tasks or something that may be less profitable but sustainable for you... Burn yourself out grinding and you'll fall short of your goal; ideally the acquisition of gold is enjoyment in itself.

Best of luck!

I mostly need gold to buy Memory of Battle and Mystic Coins. I have most other materials, and they'll fill up as i farm gold anyway, so T5/T6 shouldn't be a problem. But i need like 300 more MC and about 1500 more MoB, that'll take months to farm "normally".

I can do Anomaly once per day but like, come on... That and monthly will take too long.

I don't need to farm gold "now", so i can spread that farm a bit, but i want those Confluxes and don't want to wait another 5 months to get them.
