Today, I received an unexpected and delightful surprise in the mail, a certificate. To some, it might just be a piece of paper, but for me, it's a validation of a significant life and career decision. Initially, joining a vast organization like CommonSpirit Health felt daunting; I wondered if my efforts and contributions would go unnoticed. However, I've found that CommonSpirit Health along with all the wonderful people I work with, genuinely acknowledge both the big and small contributions made. In my experience the organization embodies transparency, accountability, integrity, and innovation—all of which are thriving here.My IT philosophy has always been to take all requests and instead of saying requests are not possible, I reevaluate and say why not or how. I've made it a point to focus on rethinking their needs and goals to find creative and innovative solutions that truly make an impact on our providers, staff, and patients. Time and again with perseverance I see where there's a will, there's a way. As long as I am working I will continue push the boundaries of healthcare and what we can achieve as an organization.

I 100% agree that the art of a phone call seems to be lost on most. Pick up the phone and get it done. Why send 20 emails or 30 messages back and forth?Comparing the average email or call, phone calls:Allow for instant back and forth communication. Explain and convey complicated information with real time feedback.Makes it easier to keep your thoughts in sync without bouncing from project to project or email to email.

Great read and I couldn’t agree more! This has always been my experience "If your boss could do your job, you're more likely to be happy at work." I take it a bit further in my mind. If your boss can excel at your job, you are more likely to be happy at work.
